The space in the picture above is my bedroom. The very little integration of light gives it a very isolated feel I would say. With there only being one area that light may enter the space its seemingly difficult to give it any different feel. The lack of space in the room makes for a very domestic feel allowing for little work to be done and much more relaxing. For this reason I choose not to work on schoolwork or anything that needs to be done in a timely fashion in this particular space. At first glance you can immediately tell the area is in need of much love and updating.
It would be anything but true to call this space unremarkable. At the very best it is a typical space in a typical home. Nothing remarkable to be noticed about it as well as nothing horrid that stands out either.
The space in the picture above is whats known as a game or recreational room on campus at our school. Comparative to my bedroom, it has many windows allowing for a lot of light integration giving the room a much more lively appeal. I prefer this space for doing any work or any sort of activity that requires deep concentration because of its open spaces. Just as I prefer this space for these reasons, I prefer the space in my bedroom for its purposes; relaxing and taking time away from the rest of the world.
